What can I expect during my general dentistry visits?

You can expect thorough and compassionate care during your general dentistry visit at David Suh Dental, not “drill and fill.” Dr. Suh and his team develop individualized treatment plans specific to your needs, which means everyone’s visit is unique to them.

However, as previously noted, the team always talks to you first before starting any dental exam or treatment so you know exactly what to expect. In most cases, your general dentistry visit focuses on your overall oral health and hygiene and may include a thorough dental cleaning by the licensed hygienist, and then a dental exam from Dr. Suh.

Depending on your needs, Dr. Suh may request dental imaging to look for oral health issues that can’t be identified during a visual exam, such as cavities or tooth impaction. David Suh Dental is a state-of-the-art dental practice, including a CT scanner that allows for more detailed imaging of your teeth and gums.

After your examination, Dr. Suh develops a personalized dental plan that focuses on addressing your dental health needs and goals.

What if I need dental treatment?

David Suh Dental is a full-service dental practice and offers a broad range of services to meet many dental needs and treatments. In addition to preventive care, the general dentistry practice also specializes in:

For a severely decayed or infected tooth, Dr. Suh performs a root canal to save the tooth and stop the infection from spreading. During the routine dental procedure, Dr. Suh removes the pulp and nerve inside your tooth, disinfects the area, fills the cavity with special dental cement, and covers your tooth with a temporary crown. Once your permanent crown is ready, Dr. Suh has you return to the office for placement.

Dr. Suh is also an expert in sleep apnea and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder.
